Folateng is a concept as practical as it is innovative. Folateng is a network of private wards that are set up within Gauteng’s public hospitals. Each ward gives the patient the quality and convenience of private health care with specialist physicians and cutting edge technology that only a long-established hospital has the capacity to offer.

The Folateng private wards are situated in the largest and best equipped provincial hospitals in Gauteng. This gives patients full access to a range of specialist services and physicians on a 24-hour basis. JOHANNESBURG HOSPITAL

The Folateng ward opened in May 2002. It has over 100 beds and is able to offer all the specialist services. It is a teaching hospital for the University of Witwatersrand. It has recently acquired some of the lastest cutting edge technology and equipment. This in conjunction with the expert on-site clinicians and specialists will lead to world class services at a reasonable price to private and medical aid patients.

Folateng ward opened in June 2003. It has over 40 beds and is able to offer a limited range of specialist services. It is also teaching hospital for WITS. Besides the specialists services offered on-site, Folateng ward offers the following additional services

The Folateng ward was opened in June 2003. It has over 50 beds and is able to offer a range of secondary services and a limited package of specialist services.

The Folateng ward was opened in April 2005. It has 28 general beds and 8 maternity beds. As a regional hospital it is able to offer a range of secondary services and a limited package of specialist services.
